Stencils from Vienna 1

These are stencils from a short trip in Vienna, Austria. The first ones look like the style of artiste-ouvrier. And it looks like Ripo was here ! Does anybody know more about Leluk ?

Artiste ouvrier & Quasikunst in Hamburg

When we were walking around in Hamburg in Altona, we passed at a garage and I couldn't believe my eyes! Artiste ouvrier, one of my favourite stencil artists had left a stencil collage there together with another artist called quasikunst. I think it was like an advertising for an exhibition in Altona. Unfortunately, it only started the next day and we were leaving and couldn't make it.... As you can see, some stencils where already covered by graffiti tags, it was a shame. Unfortunately, the first stencil was covered quite a lot with graffiti but I found it later as a cut-out not too far away from the original.

The stencil of the woman in red and white is surely from artiste-ouvrier. There was another one next to it but unfortunately, it had already been painted over with graffiti...

One of my favourite stencil artists is artiste-ouvrier. His stencils always consist of such a lot of tiny details, it's amazing! Here are some of the works he did at the Difusor.

Artiste-Ouvrier stencils in Hamburg

The stencil artists artiste-ouvrier had an exhibition of their works in Hamburg at the Nanometer Gallery in November 2006. Unfortunately, it was already over when I was in Hamburg later but at least they had left some really nice stencils outside the gallery. One seems to be a copy of the "Saint George" (see painting).
