Chameleon stencil

I was again "hunting" a bit for stencils in Barcelona, this time in the Borne and came accross these two stencils. I guess that they were done by the same artist since they are very similar. It's probably an artist from Catalunya since the writing "acabat de pintar" is catalan and means "freshly painted".

Stencils from Barcelona - Boquería market

I saw these stencils at the Boquería market in Barcelona. As I mentioned in earlier posts, it is not that easy anymore to find stencils in Barcelona but normally you will be lucky to find some at the Boquería market. One is from Olivia as you can see, the rest I don’t know.

DOLK and Olivia stencil

I saw these two stencils behind the Boquería market in Barcelona the other day. I wonder if this is the last DOLK stencil I came across in Barcelona or if there is still another one waiting to be discovered ???

Yoda stencil & more

I went through the Raval (Barcelona, Spain) yesterday armed with my camera in the hope to find some good stencils - and was lucky. I think the Yoda is from coolture - see more on his fotoblog here . I guess the other 3-layer stencil might also be from him. Or does anyone know who did this stencil ?

Thank you !

I would like to thank the unknown stencil artist of the stencil of the world in an eye. I allowed myself to use it as my new logo because I think it fits perfectly to the title of my blog "world of stencils". Everywhere I go, I take my small camera with me in the hope of taking a shot of a good stencil that I can later post on my blog. If anyone knows who is the creater of this stencil, please let me know ! Thanx, Maya

Tagus boat by DEVIR

Here is another work by DEVIR, a 4-layer stencil of a Tagus boat that I found close to the stencil of Che Guevara, which is also done by him . You can see next to the boat the John Cleese stencil as well as the letters "FIXAÇÃO PROIBIDA" which is also the name of his blog. And of course the horse which is his logo and be used often as his signature. You can often find it next to his works. See also the single stencil of the horse.

Belly dancer from DEVIR

According to a comment I received for the post "famous faces", this stencil of a belly dancer could be a work of the portuguese artist DEVIR. I found it in Lisbon in a rather hidden spot, I think it was in a parking slot. Check out more about him on his blog http://fixacaoproibida.blogspot.com, he is a portuguese street artist and on his blog you can find works done by him as well as by many other artists.

Barcelona - Stencil Mix

These are some of the more recent stencils that I have seen in Barcelona. As you can see, one is from the Norwegian stencil artist DOLK. The one with the Spanish text "Muchos riman pero pocos improvisan" at the 2 chickens means translated into English "A lot rime but only a few improvise".
